Kindergarten News
for the Week of March 4, 2019
Friday,
March 8 is “Hero Day”. Students can
dress like their favorite role model or hero on that day.
The PTO is
holding a Basket Auction again this year as a fundraiser. Each class is doing a themed basket. Our basket theme is “Crayola”. We are asking that parents send in an item or
items to contribute to our class basket.
There are many Crayola products available such as crayons, markers,
coloring books, finger paints, etc. Please
send your items to school by April 1. Thank
you to those of you who have already donated!
Don’t forget
to do a quick review of your child’s sight words every night. Remember, students must learn all 96
Kindergarten sight words by the end of the year!
This week we
will be learning the letter Ee as in egg.
Show and Tell for the letter Ee will be on Friday, March 8.
Our new
Reading story is called “If You Could Go to Antarctica”. We will discuss what it would be like to have
an Antarctic adventure. Our
comprehension skill is classifying and categorizing.
In Math we
will be continuing to learn about joining groups.
