Kindergarten News
for the Week of March 18, 2019
The PTO is
holding a Basket Auction again this year as a fundraiser. Each class is contributing a themed basket. Our basket theme is “Crayola”. We are asking that parents send in an item or
items to contribute to our class basket.
There are many Crayola products available such as crayons, markers,
coloring books, finger paints, etc. Please
send your items to school by April 12. Thank
you to those of you who have already donated!
Spring
pictures will be taken on Tuesday, March 26.
Please send in your background choice by that date. Pictures will be available for purchase 7-10
days after pictures are taken.
Due to the
cold and windy weather we have had many students with chapped lips. You are welcome to send a tube of chapstick
in your child’s backpack in case they need it.
This week we
will be focusing on the letter Jj as in jump.
Show and Tell for the letter Jj will be on Friday, March 22. Please send in one or two items that begin
with the letter Jj.
Our new
Reading story is called “Max Takes the Train”.
We will discuss the different ways of going places and types of
transportation. Our comprehension skill
is differentiating between realism and fantasy.
In Math we
will be starting our unit on subtraction.
Our essential question is “How can numbers be taken apart?”
