Friday,
March 4 is Read Across America Day! Students
from Bloomsburg University will be teaching a lesson to our class, we will be doing Dr. Seuss activities, and we will even have a guest reader. I am asking that students in our class wear a
red shirt on Friday. If you have any Dr. Seuss books at home, please feel free to send them with your child throughout this week. Don't forget to write your child's name inside the book. Thank you!
Due to the
three snow days, there have been some changes to the school schedule. There WILL be school on March 24, 28, and 29,
2016.
Don’t forget
to do a quick review of your child’s sight words every night. Remember, students must learn all 96
Kindergarten sight words by the end of the year!
This week we
will be focusing on the letter Gg as in goat.
Show and Tell for the letter Gg will be on Thursday, March 3.
Our new
Reading story is called “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. We will discuss how an adventure can cause
trouble. We will also learn about characters.
In Math we
will be finishing up our topic on addition and moving on to subtraction.
