The 100th
Day of School will be on Wednesday, February 1 if we have no snow days before that day. Can you believe it? The time has really gone fast! We are planning a special day with lots of 100 activities and we need your help. We would like your child to dress as if he/she were 100 years old. You want your child to appear older so you may want to use props such as canes, walkers, glasses, old-fashioned jewelry, wigs, hair sprays, etc. One quick way to look older is to put baby powder in your child's hair. Don't be afraid to use your imagination!
The
Kindergarten Luau will be on Friday, February 3. Your child can wear a Hawaiian shirt or flowered
dress to school that day. Every child
will be given a lei. Please keep the
weather in mind. Remember, no shorts or
flip flops are allowed. This celebration
will be treated as the January behavior award.
If your child received 3 or more yellow, orange, or red days in January
they will be sent to the time out room during the luau.
Don’t forget
to do a quick review of your child’s sight words every night. Remember, students must learn all 96
Kindergarten sight words by the end of the year!
This week we
will be focusing on the letter Hh as in hat.
Show and Tell for the letter Hh will be on Friday, February 3.
Our new
Reading story is called “Rooster’s Off to See the World”. We will discuss what we can learn from our
