Thank you so
much to all of the parent volunteers who helped with the Fall Festival! Everyone had so much fun!
The nurse
will be doing Vision Screens on Tuesday, October 30. If your child wears glasses regularly, please
make sure that they wear them to school on Tuesday.
NSE will be
having our Fall Celebration on Wednesday, October 31 from 1:30-3:00. There will be a costume parade in the
football stadium beginning promptly at 2:00.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Please be sure to sit in the stadium bleachers as nobody will be
permitted to stand along the fence this year. Students will be changing into
their costumes in the afternoon. You can send your child's costume in
his/her backpack or in a separate bag with his/her name on it. Do not
send your child to school in costume. Thank you!
Please
remember to review your child’s sight word list every night! In order to
make it through all 18 lists by the end of the year, students should be reading
a new list every one to two weeks.
This week we
will focus on the letter Pp as in pen.
Show and Tell for the letter Pp will be on Friday, November 2. A paper bag with the letter Pp will be sent
home in your child’s folder on Thursday.
Please send the bag back to school on Friday with one or two small items
that start with Pp. Please note that
the items must be small enough to fit inside the brown paper bag. Thank you for your help!
Our new
Reading story is called “Animal Babies in Grasslands”. This week’s essential question is - “What
special animals live in the grasslands?”
Our comprehension focus will be Main Idea.
In Math we
will continue learning about shapes.
