The Fall
Festival will be held on Friday, October 26.
Your child is welcome to wear jeans and a Spartan shirt. We will be outside most of the day so please
dress your child for the weather. The
forecast looks like it will be chilly (a high of 50 degrees) and cloudy. We are going to have so much fun!
Please
remember to review your child’s sight word list every night! In order to
make it through all 18 lists by the end of the year, students should be reading
a new list every one to two weeks.
This week we
will focus on the letter Ss as in snake.
Show and Tell for the letter Ss will be on Thursday, October 25. A
paper bag with the letter Ss will be sent home in your child’s folder on Wednesday. Please send the bag back to school on Thursday
with one or two small items that start with Ss. Please note that the items must be small
enough to fit inside the brown paper bag.
Thank you for your help!
Our new
Reading story is called “Nature Spy”. We
will discuss what we can learn about nature when we look closely. We will also learn about setting.
In Math we
will continue learning about shapes.
