The
Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place next week. Family shopping night is on Monday, October
15 from 4-7pm. Our class will have time
to shop during our Guidance class on Thursday, October 18. If you would like your child to purchase
books from the fair, please send money in a labeled envelope. Keep in mind that tax will be charged on all
items.
There will
be a brief Fall Festival planning meeting on Monday, October 15 at 5:00pm. Anyone who plans on attending should meet in
front of the school store.
There will
be a Spartan Dress Down Day on Friday, October 19 with a donation of $1.00.
Don’t forget
to practice sight words every night!
Our new
Reading story is called “Flowers.” We
will discuss comparing and contrasting, as well as how flowers are unique.
This week we
will be focusing on the letter Aa as in apple.
Show and Tell for the letter Aa will be on Friday, October 19. A paper bag with the letter Aa on it will be
sent home in your child’s folder. Please
send the bag back to school on Friday with one
or two small items that start with Aa.
Please note that the items must be small enough to fit inside the brown
