Our new
Reading story is called “Dig, Dig, Digging.”
We will discuss classifying and categorizing, as well as how machines
help people work.
This week we
will be focusing on the letter Tt as in tent.
Show and Tell for the letter Tt will be on Friday, October 3. A paper bag with the letter Tt will be sent
home in your child’s folder. Please send
the bag back to school on Friday with one or two small items that start with Tt. Please note that the items must be small
enough to fit inside the brown paper bag.
Thank you for your help!
Today your
child received an envelope with all of the sight words we have learned so
far. The words are to be reviewed
quickly each night and the envelope should be sent back to school every
day. Thank you!
In Math we
will begin learning about analyzing, comparing, and composing shapes.
In Science
we will begin to learn how to solve problems.
We are in
need of many more volunteers for the Fall Festival! The Fall Festival will take place on
Thursday, October 9. The next meeting is
on Tuesday, September 30 at 6:30. It
will take place at the Mineshaft in Ashland.
If you would like to help, you are welcome to join the North Schuylkill
2014 Fall Festival Facebook page or e-mail NSfallfestival2014@hotmail.com. Just a reminder, this is not a PTO event, so
as long as your clearances are turned into the office you can volunteer!
