Kindergarten News for the Week of November 18, 2019
Reading
Our Unit 2 essential question is: “What do living things need?”  This week’s story is a persuasive text called “Run, Jump, and Swim.”  It discusses why exercise is important and good for your body.

Math
Our essential question is: “How do we read, write, and count numbers up to 20?”  We will be reading, writing, and representing whole numbers from 0 to 20 with and without objects or pictures.

Announcements
Our class’s attendance dress down day will be on Monday, November 18.  Please keep an eye on your child’s folder.  Your child can only participate if they receive the attendance reward paper in his/her folder.

The weather has been getting much colder lately.  Please remember to send your child to school in a winter coat, gloves and a hat.  We go outside for recess every day unless it is raining or below 38 degrees.

Thank you to everyone who returned their child’s report card envelope.  If you haven’t turned it in yet, please send it back to school by Monday, November 18.

Don’t forget to practice sight words with your child every night.
