Picture day is on Tuesday, September 12. Please send your child’s money and order form
to school no later than Monday, September 11.
If you would like to be on the Fall Festival planning
committee, please send me a note or email as soon as possible. The Fall Festival will take place on
Thursday, October 5.
Next week we will begin our new Reading story “We Are So
Proud”. We will discuss how school
children work and play together, as well as talk about the setting of a
story. A few new letters will be
introduced this week (Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii, Jj, Kk, Ll, Mm, and Nn) and we will come
back later in the year to learn about them in more detail.
In Math we will begin to learn about identifying and
describing shapes.
All children need a snack and drink every day. In order to eliminate confusion about whether
something is a snack or a drink, you may want to pack your child’s lunch in a
regular lunchbox and his/her snack in a paper bag marked “snack”. Some children have eaten snack for lunch when
they were supposed to eat in the cafeteria!
You may want to send in a sweater or jacket for your child
to keep in his/her cubby. Our room is
often chilly due to the constant blowing of our air system. You may also want to send a change of clothes
to be kept in case of spills or accidents.
These are completely optional and up to you!
Please continue to help your child memorize his/her student
ID number. This number can be found on
the front of his/her folder and will be used throughout your child’s schooling
at North Schuylkill to buy lunch, check out library books, and log on to the
computer.

Wednesday – 2 hr Data Delay – Non rotation day
Thursday – Day 2 – Library
Friday – Day 3 – PE (Remember your sneakers!)
