Kindergarten News for the Week of April 11, 2016

Monday, April 11 is a dress down day for the PSSA kickoff.  Please send your child to school in a Spartan shirt and jeans/sweatpants/gym shorts.

Thank you for all of your help with the United States projects!  They looked great and the facts were very interesting!
Don’t forget to do a quick review of your child’s sight words every night.  Remember, students must learn all 96 Kindergarten sight words by the end of the year!

This week we will be learning about the letter Vv as in violin.  Show and Tell for the letter Vv will be on Friday, April 15.

Our new Reading story is called “The Little Engine That Could.”  We will discuss what kinds of work trains do.  We will also learn about plot.

In Math we will continue to learn about composing and decomposing numbers.

Our specials schedule for the week is:
Monday –Day 10 – Library (Remember your book!)
Tuesday – Day 1 – Art
Wednesday – Day 2 – Gym (Don’t forget your sneakers!)
Thursday – Day 3 – Music
Friday – Day 4 - Computers

Please let me know if you or your child needs anything.  Have a wonderful weekend!
