The
Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place next week. Family shopping night is on Monday, October
16 from 4-7pm. Our class will have time
to shop during our Book Exchange class on Wednesday, October 18. If you would like your child to purchase
books from the fair, please send money in a labeled envelope. Keep in mind that tax will be charged on all
items.
The
Kindergarten Field Trip to Rohrbach’s Farm will be held on Friday, October
20. More information will be coming home
this week!
Our class is
in need of brown paper bags for show and tell.
If you are willing to donate a pack or two of brown paper lunch bags,
please send them in with your child.

Items for our
Friendship Fruit Salad are due on Friday, October 20. Thank you to those who
already sent in their items.
Our new
Reading story is called “Flowers.” We
will discuss comparing and contrasting, as well as how flowers are unique.
This week we
will be focusing on the letter Aa as in apple.
Show and Tell for the letter Aa will be on Thursday, October 19. A
paper bag with the letter Aa on it will be sent home in your child’s
folder. Please send the bag back to
school on Friday with one or two
small items that start with Aa. Please
note that the items must be small enough to fit inside the brown paper
bag. Thank you for your help!
In Math we
will be learning about numbers 0-5.
