I hope you
have all been enjoying the wonderful spring-like weather we have been
having! Unfortunately, the temperature
will be chilly again for the next few weeks so please send a winter jacket for
your child to wear outside for recess.
Friday,
March 3 will be “Read Across America” day to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday. We will be having special visitors from
Bloomsburg University teach our class a lesson.
We will also be doing lots of Dr. Seuss activities and reading Dr. Seuss
books. If you have any Dr. Seuss books
at home, please send them to school with your child throughout the week so we
can read them. Don’t forget to put your
name in the book so we know whose it is!
Don’t forget
to do a quick review of your child’s sight words every night. Remember, students must learn all 96
Kindergarten sight words by the end of the year!
This week we
will be focusing on the letter Ee as in egg.
Show and Tell for the letter Ee will be on Friday, March 3.
Our new
Reading story is called “If You Could Go to Antarctica”. We will discuss what it would be like to have
an Antarctic adventure. We will also
learn about classifying and categorizing.
In Math we
will be continuing to learn about subtraction.
