Kindergarten News for the Week of January 26, 2015

Tuesday marked the halfway point of the school year.  Time sure flies when you’re having fun!

The 100th day of school is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, February 3.  More information about our 100th day celebration will be sent home soon!
Report cards will be sent home on Thursday, January 29.  You may keep the report card, but please sign and return the envelope that it comes in.

This week we will be learning about the letter Oo as in otter.  Show and Tell for the letter Oo will be on Friday, January 30.  Please send in 1 or 2 items that begin with the letter Oo.
Our Reading story this week is “Then and Now”.  We will discuss how things we use today are different from things used long ago.  We will also learn about drawing conclusions.

In Math, we will learn how to compare and order numbers 0-10.
In Science, we will continue on our new chapter about Physical Science.  We will be discussing Objects.

Please refer to the white revised calendar (1/22/15) for the remainder of January.
Our specials schedule for the week is:

Monday – Day 1 – Library (Don’t forget your book!)
Tuesday – Day 2 - Music
Wednesday – Day 3 – Gym (Remember your sneakers!)

Thursday – Day 4 – Computers

Friday – Day 5 – Art

Please let me know if you or your child needs anything.  Have an outstanding week!
