Kindergarten News for the Week of January 20 - January 24, 2014

Today is the 90th day of school.  That means we are exactly half way through Kindergarten!  Can you believe it?  It is so exciting to see how much progress each child has made so far.  We are growing a little more every day!

There will be no school for students on Monday, January 20.  Enjoy the day off!

Next week we will be learning the letter Bb as in balloon.  Show and Tell for letter Bb will be on Friday, January 24.

Word List #9 is coming home today and will be tested Friday, January 24.  Thank you for reviewing the words each night with your child!

In Math this week we will be continuing to learn about numbers to 100.

In Reading our new story is called “Seeds”.  We will be discussing what seeds become when they are planted.  We will also be learning to draw conclusions.

The last day of the 2nd marking period is Tuesday, January 21.  The tentative date for report cards is Friday, January 24.  Report cards must be signed and returned to me by Friday, January 31.

The updated January school schedule (purple paper) is in your child’s folder.  Please follow this schedule to stay updated with cycle days for the rest of the month.

Our specials schedule for the week is:
