Kindergarten News for the Week of February 17, 2020
Reading
Our Unit 4 Essential Question is “What can we learn from the
past?”. This week’s story is called “Uncovering
the Past.” We will discuss that there
are different ways that people can gain knowledge, or learn, from the past.
We will be focusing on the sounds that short u (up) and long
u (unicorn) make.
Math
Our essential question is: “How can numbers from 0-20 be
ordered and compared?” We will be
comparing sets of objects up to at least 20 in each set using comparative
language.
In Spring Math, we will be continuing to objects to 20 and
circle the corresponding number. You can
practice this at home by helping your child count from 0-20.
