The
Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place next week. Family shopping night is on Monday, October
17 from 4-7pm. Our class will have time
to shop during our Book Exchange class on Thursday, October 20. If you would like your child to purchase
books from the fair, please send money in a labeled envelope. Keep in mind that tax will be charged on all
items.
Our new
Reading story is called “Flowers.” We
will discuss comparing and contrasting, as well as how flowers are unique.
This week we
will be focusing on the letter Aa as in apple.
Show and Tell for the letter Aa will be on Friday, October 21. A paper bag with the letter Aa on it will be
sent home in your child’s folder. Please
send the bag back to school on Friday with one or two small items that start
with Aa. Please note that the items
must be small enough to fit inside the brown paper bag. Thank you for your help!
In Math we
will continue learning about numbers 0-5.
